Soft Wood Decking
Soft wood decking is the most cost effective way to create a beautiful new decking space for your property or business. We use a robust frame with floor joists and posts set in concrete.
Soft wood decking boards are readily available with smooth or grooved finishes in sizes from 4 inches – 6 inches (100 mm – 150 mm) wide. If cleaned and treated occasionally, a soft wood decking can retain its charm for many years.
Hard Wood Decking
Hard wood decking can create a stunning, sharp and contemporary space for your garden. Although the cost is significantly more than soft wood decking, you certainly end up with a product that is extremely strong and requires very little maintenance for it to last many years. If your budget allows for it, this for us the best option for a naturally beautiful decking. Invisible fixing systems can be provided too for an even cleaner finish. There is also less of a risk of splinters and can be fixed with balustrades.
The most popular species include IPE, Yellow Balau, Western Cedar, with varying properties.
Composite Decking
Composite decking is ideal for those who wish to have a decking that maintains its beauty with as little maintenance as possible. Composite decking is made from a wood-plastic composite and comes in various colours and sizes. Unlike soft wood decking, there is also less risk of splinters, weathers well and doesn’t rot. It is also bug proof and can be fitted with balustrades.
